Université de Moncton is the only French-language university in New Brunswick and Canada’s largest Francophone university outside Québec. Founded in 1963, the three campuses of Université de Moncton are located in Edmundston, Moncton and Shippagan. A liberal arts university, Université de Moncton offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs and stands out through its innovative research activities and the quality of the French-language education it offers to the Francophone and Acadian community of New Brunswick and the Francophonie. Whereas the majority of students come from New Brunswick, many also come from almost all countries of the Francophonie. Université de Moncton benefits from numerous exchange programs and institutional agreements supporting student mobility at the international level.
Through different special funds, notably in the areas of research, development, creation and innovation, Université de Moncton is an important player in Atlantic Canada as a creator of employment for highly qualified people.
“Through its long-standing commitment, Power Corporation is contributing to the development and influence of Université de Moncton in Acadie and the Francophonie," stated Denis Prud’homme, President and Vice-Chancellor.
