Helping transforms the future of healthcare

Located in the East End of Montréal, the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR) is one of Quebec's largest hospitals. In addition to caring for the local population, the HMR welcomes patients from across Canada because of its expertise in ultra-specialized fields. Affiliated with the Université de Montréal, the HMR is a leading reference in cutting-edge care, teaching and research. Since 1978, the HMR Foundation has supported projects related to research, skills development and patient management across the continuum of care.

The HMR Foundation aspires to provide quality care and propel health beyond borders. A leader in health care for the East End of Montréal, the HMR Foundation is focused on innovation. In the coming years, the HMR Foundation anticipates there will be a significant increase in the demand for cancer diagnostics. The Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital predicts a 200% increase in demand by 2031. Given this fact, the Hospital has launched a major modernization program for its nuclear medicine department and its Research Center.

Power Corporation is delighted to support the HMR Foundation in advancing these two major projects. The modernization of the nuclear medicine department will provide patients and staff with a safer, more intimate, and fully adapted environment to get ready for the medical examinations. The Research Centre will continue advancing research, from fundamental theory to clinical application in the fields of immunology-oncology, nephrology, and vision health.

Through these far-sighted investments, the HMR Foundation and its partners are committed to building healthy communities and transforming healthcare, from prevention and treatment to hospital discharge.
